Yesterday we drew another blank, somehow. The value single was looking good, Besiktas lead 1-0 but conceded so the HT Result bet lost, then in the goals double we were one goal off in the Vigo game, and finally the BOTD lost again, as Ajax failed to score. This game was the only game in the Europa league to not have BTTS land, typical. Anyway, onto Friday’s tips, just the one tip today but it is a win double and I am going to use it as the BOTD.
1. Irish Win Double- Dundalk and Cork to win @ 2.03 (BOTD) 3pts/£3
Dundalk vs Bohemians
Dundalk sit second in the league, they have played 9 games and won 6 of them. At home, they have won 4 of their 5 games, losing 1, scoring 10 and conceding 5. Overall goal wise, they have scored 18 in 9 games averaging 2 goals scored per game, and conceded 9 averaging 1 conceded per game. They have scored in every home game and in 4/5 have scored first, and overall have scored first in 7/9, showing they are a good side to take the lead, plus in the 4 home games they have won at home, they have been winning at HT also.
Bohemians are the visitors at Oriel Park and haven’t had the greatest start to their season, they sit 8th in the league and their overall record is played 9, won 3, drew 1 and lost 5. In their last 5 they have lost 3 won 1 and drew 1. All 3 lost have been the most recent games and In the 3 games they lost they had scorelines of 2-0, 2-0 and 4-0. So, as you can see just in their last 3, they have conceded 8 goals and have not scored any. In the other two they have won 1-0 and drew 1-1, so they have scored just 2 goals in their last 5 and conceded 9. They have played 4 away games winning 2 and losing 2, scoring 3 and conceding 4. In both games they lost they conceded first, showing they do not come back strong after conceding.
Dundalk have won the previous last 3 meetings between the side and I expect them to win this one too. They are a much stronger team and have the home backing too, SP is Dundalk 3-0.
St Patricks vs Cork City
St Patricks sit 9th in the league, winning just 2, drawing 2 and losing 5. They have scored just 10 goals and conceded 14 overall. At home, they have played 4 and only won 1 and have lost the other 3. They have scored 4 and conceded 7. In the 4 home games, they have conceded first 3 games, so on all the games they lost at FT, they had conceded first in and interestingly they have been losing in every home game at HT. For a comparison of this stat overall and not just at home, they have not been winning on 7/9 occasions at HT and also have only had 1 0-0 at HT out of 9 games, so they are not quick starters.
Now, Cork City, they are top of the league and we can see why. Played 9 overall, won all 9, scoring 23 and conceding just 4 goals in 9 games! As they are away I will also go through the away stats, Cork have played 5 away games, obviously won all 5 and have scored 12, averaging over 2 scored a game and have conceded 2, less than 0.5 goals a game. They have scored first in all 5 away games and also have been winning at HT in 4/5, showing they are quick starters, against a team who aren’t, as you would have read. Cork have also scored 2 goals in 4/5 away games so shouldn’t struggle to do the same here, especially as St Patricks have conceded at least 2 in both games they have recently lost overall and in all 3 they have lost at home (0-2,1-2,1-2)
So, 9th plays an undefeated 1st. Cork winning also at HT in 4/5 games also and St Patricks have not been winning in all 4 of their home games at HT. So a quick start expected here from Cork. In the history of this fixture, Cork have won 4/5 times and this should be made 5/6 as of tomorrow night as all the stats point to that. SP; Cork City 3-0.
