Another good day for results on Saturday with 2/3 landing. BOTD won for the 5th time in a row and the O1.5 MG Fourfold won too. The win double did however fall short, but we move on.
1. Win Double- Sheffield United and Scunthorpe @ 1.98 (2.5pts/£2.50)
Sheffield United vs Chesterfield
The best team in the league, Sheffield United, they are the champions and have 97 points to their name. They have really taken a liking to this league and seem ready for the next challenge. One of the reasons Sheffield United are where they are is because of striker Billy Sharp, he has had a fantastic season back at his boyhood club and has scored 28 goals making him the top scorer in the division. At home they have played 22 and have a record of 16-3-3. They have scored an impressive 39 goals and only conceded 14. They have only failed to score 14% of the time at home and have an impressive cleansheet record of 55%. Their home win rate is a massive 73%, in comparison, the league average is 45%, so this really shows what a formidable place Brammal Lane has become. For overall form Sheffield united have won all 5 of their recent games, scoring 13 and only conceding 1 goal.
Opponents Chesterfield are rock bottom of the league. Away from home they have one of the worst records in the league. They have played 22 and have a record of 2 wins, drew 5 and lost 15, scoring only 15 and conceding 36, which is an average of over 2 a game. In their last 4 away games they are winless, losing 3 and drawing 1. They have failed to score in 45% of away matches and have only kept a clean sheet 18% of the time.
This one is 1st vs 24th guys. I think it speaks for itself. My SP is Sheffield United 4-0.
Scunthorpe vs Coventry
Scunthorpe are comfortably in the play offs but will be looking to finish their home season well. At home this season they have played 22 and won 13, drawn 6 and lost just 3 games. They have scored 43 at just under an average of 2 and conceded 21, at an average of just under 1 per game. They have scored in 82% of home matches and kept a clean sheet at home 32% of the time. Form wise, Scunthorpe have won their 4 most recent home games, scoring 9 and conceding 4. They will be looking to keep this form going with another win infront of the Glandford Park faithful.
Coventry are the opponents and are 23rd in the league, they have nothing to play for and are now preparing for League 2 football. Away from home this year they have a painful record, they have played 22, won only 1, drew 5 and lost 16. They have scored only 16 goals and conceded 41. They have only kept 1 clean sheet away all year and failed to score 35% of the time. Form wise, Coventry have won 1 point from 5 away games, so have drew 1 and lost 4. They have not scored away from home since February.
Should be a stonewall result, 4th plays 23rd. Just look at the stats. My SP is Scunthorpe 2-0.
That’s all today guys, lets end April strong. Thank you for your continuous support.
